I really am terrible about updating my journal. Ugh. It just seems like my life is too boring to even bother with updates. But today I actually have something not boring to post about. I was at Target a little bit earlier looking for Halloween candy for my neighbor's patients. Every Halloween I make up little goodie bags for all her patients. She's a pediatric physical therapist. Anyway, Target is apparently slow at getting their Halloween stuff out, cause they had nothing. So I just wandered around for a bit & ended up in the clearance baby section. I couldn't resist buying several cute little baby outfits. I get home expecting my mom to tell me yet again to stop buying baby stuff since we don't know anyone who is expecting, but she didn't. Instead she tells me to look inside the gift bag on the table. I pull out two baby bibs with grandma & grandpa sayings on them. Then I pull out an envelope & inside is my brother & sister-in-law's first baby photo - an ultrasound photo. They're having their first baby in April. I'm gonna be an aunt. =) I've never wanted kids of my own, but being an aunt might be fun. And of course my mom is super excited. She's been wanting grandbabies for years now.

Thanks to everyone who commented on my last post. I appreciate it. I really should have had this post ready last night. I'm a mess right now. =(

My mom decided to let Chip reach his 14th birthday and scheduled his vet appointment for this morning. I know it was time for him to go, but I'm going to miss him so much. He was my baby... =(

purple overload

I decided that it was way past time for me to update the look of my journal. I wanted it to be more colorful and I wanted to include my girls in the header up top. My journal is so very purple now. =0 I suppose it doesn't look too bad, but I hate the header. I'll work on a new one later.

ETA: My second attempt at a header turned out better than my first, but I'm still not thrilled with it. I think it needs a different photo of Chip.

ETA: Last time for editing. I changed the photo of Chip and I think it looks much better. I'm sick of messing around with paint shop pro, so no more changes today.

Ladyhawke caps & mood theme

Ladyhawke is one of my favourite movies, so I decided to screen cap the movie and make a mood theme.

I made 457 screen caps, which can be found here. About halfway through capping the movie I realized that someone in cap_it had already capped the movie, but since they capped it on widescreen I decided to finish. I capped the movie on full screen.

I also made a Ladyhawke mood theme. You'll need a paid account to be able to use it. You can preview all the moods here. You can download the zip file here. If you'd prefer the moods to be in .gif format rather than .png, click here.

Instructions:

Download the zip file. Unzip the file and upload all 132 pictures to your site. Photobucket is a good site to use for free.

Go to the Admin Console.

Enter:

moodtheme_create "Ladyhawke" "Ladyhawke"

Then click execute. Make sure you write down the ID # they give you.

Open ladyhawketheme.txt. Replace "12345" with the # that you got in the previous step. Replace the URL with the URL of your site. Then copy all this info and paste it into the box on the admin console. Click execute and you're done.

To use the Ladyhawke mood theme, go to modify your journal settings and select Ladyhawke from your mood list.
